About us

An initiative to reassure ourselves that we are together in this crisis both emotionally and mentally. We aim to help maintain the psychological and physiological well-being of every individual finding it hard to cope with the crisis through the support of doctors, psychologists, mentors, etc. We aim to use various digital touchpoints that target the isolation vacuum through positive content.

This initiative was started to give ourselves the hope and reassure to stay resilient (including myself). Times like this can be very stressful and probably once this all ends, it could have a huge impact on our mental health. Amid all the negatives we see on the news, right now we need to be reassured that we are not alone and that it is a battle 8bn of us are fighting. By joining hands and reassuring each other (obviously by maintaining protocols of social distancing), we can combat the repercussions this pandemic has on our mental health and save our mental health care systems from crippling, globally. The need for such an initiative stems from my personal experiences as a junior doctor trying to fight COVID19. For the past few weeks, I have seen several unfortunate souls who have been affected by this pandemic, some struggling to survive while others were just lost in this sea of tragic change. It has indeed been a turbulent time for everyone, from the Healthcare workers to the families of the deceased and the billion more people who are trying their best to cope. We believe that such times call out to the most evolved species on this planet to come together to combat this catastrophe and the changes (mental & emotional) it imposes on us. (Vedang)

Found myself stuck in my apartment in Milan from the last 3 weeks or so, all by myself in a new country. Initially, it appeared like a break from my busy routine but soon the lack of human contact started to creep into me. The social distancing and isolation started to impact my mental wellbeing. Upon a phone call with my friend, we discussed the repercussions this would have on many and could be detrimental on the few. No second thoughts, we decided to join hands and start the coping with covid movement. Assessing how I felt and being able to empathise with many, I felt it was very important voicing this out and reassuring each other that we are in this together. (Apoorva)

I was prepared to dive in full time into the commitments of a final year medic when the virus had laid its roots on little island.

Now, I find myself working in space of my dorms while my senior colleagues fight this pandemic.

We started this initiative as a way of acknowledging the mental and social impact of social distancing (which is undoubtedly a very important measure against this pandemic) as well as sharing ways of coping with it productively. (Minoli)
